Care Instructions - Socks

Please follow these simple set of instructions to keep your socks looking like new for longer:

Warm machine wash
Wash and dry inside out
Wash dark colours separately
Do not bleach
Do not soak
Tumble dry only on low heat setting
Dry without delay

To minimize shrinking of cotton fabric:

Use cold machine wash
Do not use dryer, hang them on the line to dry
Stretch the socks a little before hanging them on the line

Helpful hints:
  • Cut tag before removing label.
  • Sock are best washed inside out to reduce colour fade, piling and fluffing caused by abrasive action of
    socks rubbing against each other.
  • It is recommended that dark colours be washed separately so colours do not run.
  • Socks should not be bleached. A bleaching will fade colour and damage wool fibres.
  • It is best not to tumble dry socks as they wear longer. If tumble drying is preferred always use a low heat
setting to prevent shrinkage. Alternatively line dry socks, preferably in the shade.
  • It is recommended socks are dried immediately after washing so that dark colours will not transfer on to
    other garments.
  • To make sure that pairs do not get separated or lost in the wash, try using a hosiery bag.
Care Instructions - Pantyhose

What is the ideal way to care for your new pantyhose?

First, take care in putting them on and taking them off. Take off jewelry while handling pantyhose and be careful of rough spots like fingernails or toenails. Don't pull pantyhose too tight.

Before washing them, read instructions on the packaging. Make sure your detergent does not contain chlorine bleach, which can remove colour and damage fibres. Pantyhose should be washed by hand, using a mild detergent. If you do use a washing machine, put your pantyhose in a hosiery wash bag or a pillowcase so they don’t get caught on the zippers and buttons of other clothes in the wash load. Wash in cold or lukewarm water, using the ‘gentle’ cycle.

To dry, place one or two pairs on a towel, roll up and squeeze the towel lightly to remove excess moisture. Never wring the hosiery as this can easily damage the delicate fibers. Lie flat to dry to avoid stretching. Never dry your hosiery in the dryer. Always store your hosiery in a separate lingerie pouch, to avoid snags and pulls from rough drawer edges.
